Where Do Fair for You Products Come From?

Fair for You allows you to buy goods you need for your home at an affordable price on credit. Our website contains hundreds of products that are available via our retail partners, whether that’s appliances from Whirlpool, or homeware from Dorset Home Stores, in addition to our incredible card products - the Food Club Card & Shopping Card.

And you can rest easy knowing that you’re dealing with a responsible lender. We aim to help all of our customers access the essentials they need without presenting them with further unnecessary financial challenges.

Some of the essential items available include washing machines, fridge freezers, kettles, furniture, and much more. Plus, members of the Good Payers Club get access to tech products and other exclusive items - again, all available on the fair, flexible finance that we’re known for.

New to Fair for You? A common question we get asked is about where our products come from.

So in today’s post, we want to explain a little more about how Fair for You works, so that you can make an informed purchase with us.

How Fair for You Works

We have a whole page dedicated to explaining how shopping with Fair for You works - you can check that out here.

It shares how you can use our website to explore hundreds of quality products from our trusted retailers, from dishwashers and tumble dryers to microwaves and beds.

Once you’ve picked out the products you’re looking for, it’s time to apply for your loan! Most of our customers get a decision straight away (it can sometimes take a little longer), but the whole process is super easy. All you need to do is fill in a few details so we understand your circumstances and the finance you’re looking for.

As part of the application process, you can choose how long you’d like to borrow for and how frequently you’d like to pay. You can pay weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly and borrow for as long (up to 12 months) or short (starting from 3 months) a period as you like. You can even change your repayments if your circumstances change.

After you’ve completed your loan agreement, it’s time for delivery! It’s usually pretty speedy, and most of the time it’s completely free (although it’s worth checking to make sure).

You will own any products you purchase right from the start, rather than having to rent appliances or other goods you may need.

We’re a responsible lender, meaning we’ll only agree to let you purchase items that we think you can afford. We’ll work this out when you sign up to Fair for You as part of our affordability checks.

Why Fair for You Is Different

✅ Fair for You is a Community Interest Company, meaning we put helping our customers first - you can learn more about what it means to be a Community Interest Company here.

✅ We will only offer you a loan amount that we feel you can comfortably afford to pay back.

✅ You’ll own any items you purchase through Fair for You.

✅ We have an understanding of why people might be struggling financially, including for reasons that may not be their fault. We’re not here to judge you or try to get you into more debt. Instead we want to help you.

✅ Having a low credit score doesn’t mean you’ll automatically be rejected.

✅ As long as you have a stable, regular income (this can include benefits) and a bank account you can make your repayments from, you’re eligible to apply.

✅ There are no hidden costs or fees.
