World Cup, BBQs, fans, fun in the sun: get ready for summer with Fair for You

June 8, 2026 • Fair for You

At last, summer is nearly here.

Whether you’re looking forward to the summer of football and the season’s other sporting highlights, or just keen to spend time with friends and family, we hope you have some fun plans.

But have you and your family got what you need to make the most of the summer? Fair for You can help to spread the cost of essential purchases, household items and more.

We offer a Shopping Card loan, so you can borrow from £50 up to £350 on a prepaid Mastercard, to spend at our range of retail partners including Argos, Dunelm, Currys, Iceland, and more.

We also offer loans specifically for individual products from dishwashers, fridges and kids’ beds to TVs, ovens and more. With this loan, you get the product delivered straight to your door (for customers in the UK). This also includes free installation for many products if needed - for example washing machines, kitchen appliances and so on - and in many cases we can remove and recycle the item you’re replacing for free too.

With all our loans, you can pay monthly - or weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly, whatever works best for you.

Read on to find out how Fair for You can help you get ready for summer.

A TV for the big matches

Do you need a new TV to enjoy the excitement of the big football matches and the summer’s sporting other highlights from golf to tennis - or so you can enjoy a good movie night in with friends and family?

Fair for You can help you to spread the cost of a new TV.

Our Shopping Card loan lets you shop at Currys, Euronics and Argos, so you can browse for a great value TV or smart TV. We’ve also got retailers like Dunelm and Habitat, so you can replace that old sofa or make your sitting room more comfortable. Plus, when you shop with our Shopping Card loan, you can benefit from offers or sales which our retail partners have running.

Or, if you’re a member of Fair for You’s Good Payers Club, you can choose from a range of TVs and smart TVs. Find out more about the Good Payers Club later on…

Fire up the BBQ - or pizza oven?

There's nothing like cooking and eating outdoors with family and friends on a warm evening.

You might want a BBQ or something bigger. You can use a Fair for You loan to spread the cost of BBQ equipment or even a pizza oven.

Our Shopping Card loan lets you shop at Argos, Currys, Dunelm, Euronics and Habitat - so you’ve got great choices and can find the best deals.

Alternatively, you can get a loan for one of the barbecues and pizza ovens we offer. Remember, when you buy products direct from our website, you get free delivery across the UK.

Enjoy the sun…

When the weather is good, nothing beats spending time outdoors in the fresh air. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a garden, or you’ll be heading down to your local park.

You can use the Fair for You Shopping Card loan at Argos, Dunelm, Habitat and Our4Walls, which stock outdoor furniture, garden tools and equipment, outdoor toys and more.

Or if you prefer, you can browse our range of garden and outdoor products - including paddling pools, kids’ bikes, camping chairs and garden furniture, patio heaters, lawnmowers, pressure washers and more. Get free delivery when you order directly from our website.

…and remember the suncream and hats!

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. As it’s the time of year that we start seeing more of the sun, it’s a great time to remind yourself about the importance of suncream. Cancer charity Macmillan has some handy info on its website.

You can shop at Lloyds Pharmacy and Pharmacy2U with Fair for You’s Shopping Card loan, meaning you can pick up suncream - plus insect repellent, aftersun lotion and more.

And if your kid has managed to lose their hat at school, or they’ve grown out of all their clothes yet again, don’t worry. The Shopping Card loan can also be used at Tu at Argos.

Did you buy that fan you were thinking about?

We’re getting more heatwaves in the UK. Perhaps you were thinking last summer about the fact you needed to buy a fan - did you get round to it? There are a wide range of fans and cooling devices you can buy direct from Fair for You’s website.

And have you thought about other ways of keeping yourself cool in the heat? Bedding made from natural fibres like cotton and linen - or even eco-friendly bamboo cotton - is more comfortable when it’s hot. Synthetic fibres like polyester can get sweaty more quickly.

Staying cool in the summer is easier if you’ve got blinds or curtains in all your windows to keep the heat out during the day - and of course these can also help keep you stay warm in the winter. Making sure you have the right flooring can also help keep you comfortable in all seasons.

Using the Fair for You Shopping Card loan, you can spread the cost of soft furnishings and natural bed linens from a range of retailers including Habitat, Dunelm, Tapi Carpets and more.

How does it work?

Fair for You is an ethical alternative to Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) lenders like Klarna and others.

Apply for a Shopping Card loan from our website, or browse our range of products before applying for a loan to help spread the cost of specific items.

We run affordability checks to make sure a loan works for your situation. When we’re looking at your application, we're particularly interested in how you're repaying things right now, alongside your credit history. Because of this, we may be able to consider lending to customers who have bad credit.

With Fair for You, you can choose to repay weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly - whatever fits best with your finances.

As an ethical lender, we want what is best for customers, and recommend you search around and look for a good deal. But remember that other lenders might give you different repayment flexibility, eligibility criteria and costs (including Annual Percentage Rate or  APR), so you need to weigh up the pros and cons.

What is the Fair for You Good Payers Club, and how do I join?

The Good Payers Club is for customers who have a good record of paying off their Fair for You loan. It gives access to exclusive deals.

You’ll be automatically invited to join the Good Payers Club if you’re up to date with your repayments, and you’ve either been a Fair for You customer for more than six months, or you’ve paid off your first loan with us.

Please note: if your first loan is an Iceland Food Club loan, you’ll need to have paid off your first loan balance, and have been a Fair for You customer for more than six months.

Find out more about the Good Payers Club here.

Got debt or money worries on your mind? Our Debt & Money Matters page has support and resources to help.

Fair for You loans are subject to eligibility and affordability checks. Missed payments may affect your credit file. Only borrow what you can afford to repay.
