Who’s eligible to apply?
Shopping Card Loan
- New customers over 18 years old
- Existing customers over 18 years of age who:
- Are up to date with all their repayments
- Are 1/3 (¼ for GPC members) or fully repaid on all their loans
- Have no more than 2 active loans
- Have no existing card loan
Food Club Card
- New customers over 18 years old
- Existing customers over 18 years of age who:
- Are up to date with all their repayments
- Are 1/3 (¼ for GPC members) or fully repaid on all their loans
- Have no more than 2 active loans
- Have no existing card loan
Which is right for me?
Shopping Card
- Shop online and instore at lots of high-street retailers including Argos, Currys and Iceland.
- Apply for up to £350 credit limit
- Choose whether you pay weekly, monthly, fortnightly or 4-weekly
- Top-up whenever you need throughout the year (eligibility rules apply - £350 maximum outstanding at any time)
- Interest Rate 51% per annum fixed (Equivalent to 64.8% APR), 4.25% a month
Food Club Card
- Shop online and instore at Iceland and the Food Warehouse
- Apply for up to £75 for your first load, with up to £100 outstanding at any one time for future top-ups
- Set £10 weekly payment
- Top-up windows open around the school holidays - up to 6 times a year (eligibility rules apply - £100 maximum outstanding at any time)
- 0% interest
When will I start repaying my loan?
Your first payment will be taken on the date chosen by you and outlined in your loan agreement. Repayments are not linked to the spend on your card or its activation date.
When will I receive my card?
We aim to get your card out to you as quickly as possible – usually within 7-10 working days, but this can take a bit longer when demand is very high and if there are any delays in the postal service.
Can I have a Shopping Card loan and a Food Club Card at the same time?
You can only have one card loan active at anytime so it's important to choose the best one for your needs before applying.
I have Food Club Card already, can I apply for a Shopping Card loan?
Yes, you'll just need to pay off your Food Club balance first so that you have a £0 balance. We can then help. Please email us at contactus@fairforyou.co.uk before applying for a Shopping Card loan.
Once you apply if:
- Your Shopping Card loan application is accepted - the amount you applied for will be automatically added to the Prepaid Mastercard you already have and the permissions for retailers will be updated, You will no longer have a Food Club card.
- Your Shopping Card loan application is not successful and you still want a Food Club card - you will have to re-apply and your application will be reviewed in the same way.
There is a risk that your application will be unsuccessful and you will lose access to your Food Club Card. You will then have to wait 3 months before re-applying.
Where can I use my Shopping Card loan?

You can use your Food Club Card exclusively at Iceland and the Food Warehouse, both online and instore.
